Help us deliver a better tomorrow
Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
We’re looking for an Operations Clerk to join our high-performing Operational Improvement team in NSW/ACT. This role is essential in supporting accurate operational reporting, tracking critical consignments and helping deliver continuous improvement across our network. Working closely with the Operational Improvement Supervisor, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our depots stay on track and our customers continue to receive industry-leading service—especially during our peak season.
What you’ll deliver with us
Reporting to the Operational Improvement Manager NSW/ACT, you’ll support the efficient running of daily operations by providing high-quality administrative and data support. Success in this role looks like accurate reporting, timely escalation of issues, strong scanning compliance and proactive collaboration with depot and customer service teams.
You’ll also
- Assist the Operational Improvement Supervisor by completing and updating pre-built reports, including Daily and Weekly DIFOT and Scanning Pillar reports.
- Track and monitor high-visibility consignments through SAP-EM and TEAM, including major product launches.
- Support depots with missing POD follow-up, scanning performance, NPI launches and service disruption reporting.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and support process changes across NSW/ACT operations.
About you
You’re detail-oriented, curious and enjoy working with data and process improvement. You communicate confidently at all levels—from depot staff to managers—and you’re motivated by helping the network operate at its best. You’re also someone who is eager to grow, learn and take initiative in a fast-moving operational environment.
You’ll also need
- Intermediate Excel skills—comfortable updating, interpreting and maintaining operational reports.
- Experience with SAP-EM and TEAM, with the ability to track scanning events and follow article/consignment journeys.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities and experience working in transport, logistics or an operational administration role.
- A keen interest in continuous improvement, with the ability to spot inefficiencies and suggest opportunities for better ways of working.
How we’ll deliver for you
- A supportive team that values collaboration, learning and continuous improvement.
- Opportunities to build your operational, analytic and process optimisation skill set.
- A workplace where safety, accountability and customer focus are at the heart of everything we do.
